This was painted using quality high pigment acrylic paints and acrylic mediums, it was built up in many layers, the lower layers creating a subtle marble/watercolour affect of blues turq purples and touches of pink, the upper layers are painted in a impasto style using thick but pourable paint and ink in the same colours, gold copper and mixed colour foil leaf have been used to highlight areas and different acrylic mediums to add textures, resulting in heavy textured and raised/ridged areas. Like most of the Whatever series this can be hung which ever way you prefer up, down or sideways. |
